Dr Nicholas Little trained in Sydney at Royal North Shore Hospital, Westmead Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, and Camperdown Children’s Hospital. He did a post-graduate clinical and research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in the USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is currently a clinical senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney.

 

Past appointments include: Head of Neurosurgery Department, Royal North Shore and Dalcross Hospitals, State representative for Federal AMA (winner of President’s award).

 

Currently Director of Training Royal North Shore and North Shore Private Hospitals.

 

His philosophy regarding spinal surgery is one of conservatism with either non-operative or minimally invasive surgical approaches (including cervical disc replacement). Spinal motion preservation is a priority.

 

The North Shore Campus has state of the art equipment including Brainlab neuronavigation and Zeiss microscopes. The neuroradiology department treats the most vascular malformations in NSW.

 

He has been in active clinical practice in Sydney for 10 years and is committed to treatment of the local community, while staying at the forefront of new technologies and patient care.
